Student LeadershipStudent Leadership

A hallmark of an Everest education is the development of leadership skills. Beginning as early as preschool, students are assigned weekly classroom jobs and excitedly perform the tasks they are given such as door holder, prayer leader, and weather reporter! Classroom assignments continue through fourth grade and grow in responsibility, promoting the virtues of service, perseverance, leading by example, and humility.

Students in grades 4-12 have the additional duty of leading the entire school in daily morning and afternoon prayers over our public address system.

ACADEMY LEADERSHIP:

CADET PROGRAM
Everest's Cadet Program provides middle school students with the unique leadership opportunity to volunteer their time in a lower school classroom during their recess for two days a week for an entire quarter. While in the classroom, these leaders work on various tasks directly with the teacher and students in small groups, one-on-one, or as a whole class. Other duties may include record-keeping, organizational tasks, arts and crafts, or project preparations as directed by the teacher. The Cadet program motivates students to be role models for younger students and instills the importance of character and confidence as Christ centered leaders for society.

STUDENT COUNCIL
Everest Academy offers students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to run for and serve on a Student Council. Four officer positions - President, Vice President, Secretary, and Apostolic Service Coordinator - and four classroom representative positions are filled each year. These students are elected by their peers and meet weekly to discuss student needs on campus and to plan spirit and service activities.

HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP:

CLUBS

MENTOR PROGRAM
Members of the Everest Collegiate Mentor Program welcome incoming 9th graders and new transfer students to the Everest Family. They show them around the campus, help them meet other students and check in with them on a regular basis to make sure they are adjusting well and getting involved with all Everest has to offer.
