PreK - Jr. Kindergarten

Pre-Kindergarten - Jr. Kindergarten: the beginning of a child’s fascinating journey into the world around them.

Everest Academy welcomes young learners and helps them take their first steps along their educational journey. At Everest Academy, young hearts are nourished in a strong family-oriented environment. Talented teachers open young minds to exploration and discovery.

PreK 3 sets the foundation by nurturing socialization and classroom conduct. These opportunities equip the child early with the skills needed to succeed both socially and academically.

PreK 4 furthers socialization and classroom behavior skills while exposing the children to an interest and love of learning. Preschoolers are introduced to the phonetic sounds of each letter and begin to learn word connection.

Jr. Kindergarten  was developed for those children who will be 5 years of age by December 31, who chronologically could enter the traditional Kindergarten program, but would benefit with an additional year of developmental growth.  Junior Kindergarten offers children a gentle transition between preschool and our structured Kindergarten program.  Through one-on-one, small group and whole group activities, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of curricular activities with the emphasis placed on social development, following directions, and developing good work habits. Students attending the Junior Kindergarten program also benefit from all the specialty subjects offered in our elementary school:  Spanish, art, music, gym, and computers.
